Box Office Mojo is listing a total gross of US$377,334 for FUNimation Entertainment’s combined screenings of the the first episode of Attack on Titan Season 3 and the Attack on Titan: The Roar of Awakening recap film. The July 10, 2018 screening, which screened the film in Japanese with English subtitles, earned US$225,441. The July 11, 2018 screening, which screened the film with an English dub, earned US$151,893.
FUNimation screened the event in 160+ United States and Canadian theaters. The season already had its world premiere at Anime Expo on July 8, 2018.
The new season will premiere in Japan on July 23, 2018.
FUNimation has acquired the home entertainment, video on demand, and broadcast rights of the series in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Crunchyroll, FUNimation, and Hulu will stream the series as it airs, and FUNimation will stream an English dub. Adult Swim’s Toonami block will begin airing the anime on August 28, 2018.
