Anime Expo to Host the U.S. Premiere of Mari Okada’s Maquia – When the Promised Flower Blooms Film

Anime Expo has announced that it will host the United States premiere of P.A. Works and Mari Okada’s Maquia – When the Promised Flower Blooms original anime film. The screening will take place on July 6, 2018.

Eleven Arts will screen the film in theaters in the United tates. and Canada beginning on July 20, 2018. The film will premiere in Canada as an official competitor at the Fantasia Film Festival, which takes place in Montreal from July 12-August 1, 2018.

The film is the directorial debut of anime screenwriter Okada. She wrote the film’s script at P.A. Works.

Anime Expo will be taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California from July 5-8, 2018. There will be a pre-show event on July 4, 2018.
