This year’s 19th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump has announced that Sankaku Head’s Himōto! Umaru-chan G manga will end in the magazine’s next issue on April 19, 2018. The series launched as a sequel to Sankaku Head’s earlier Himōto! Umaru-chan manga in Weekly Young Jump in November 2017.
The story of the original Himōto! Umaru-chan is described as:
In public, Umaru Doma appears to be the perfect high school student: hard-working, refined, and totally responsible. But the minute she gets home to her older brother Taihei–and dons her famous hamster hoodie–she devolves into the ultimate bratty little sister. She’s happy to roll around all day in an otaku cloud of games and junk food while her exhausted older brother takes care of everything in the house. In this hilarious comedy about family, friendship, and the nonsense we put up with (from the people we love), Umaru and Taihei will find a way to make it work.
Sankaku Head launched the original Himōto! Umaru-chan manga in Weekly Young Jump in 2013 (after running an earlier two-chapter Himōto! Umaru-chan! version in Miracle Jump in 2012), and ended it in November 2017. Seven Seas has licensed the manga for North America.
