VIZ Media Announces New Manga and Novel Acquisitions at C2E2 2018

VIZ Media announced its latest publishing acquisitions this past weekend at Chicago’s premier pop culture and comics convention, C2E2.

During its official panel discussion, VIZ Media announced the upcoming fall release of Frankenstein: Junji Ito Story Collection, a retelling of Mary Shelley’s classic monster tale, reimagined by Japan’s master of horror manga. The manga adaptation of the Juni Taisen battle royale anime, Juni Taisen: Zodiac War, will be available to fans this fall. Also announced were two sci-fi novels based on the NieR: Automata video game. NieR: Automata: Long Story Short (Volume 1) and NieR: Automata: Short Story Long (Volume 2), created by NieR: Automata‘s director Yoko Taro and writer Jun Eishima.

Additional information on each of these titles will be announced in the near future.
