Jump SQ. Crown Manga Magazine to End, Jump SQ. RISE Magazine to Launch in April 2018

The 2018 Winter issue of Shueisha’s Jump SQ. Crown magazine has announced that the magazine is ceasing publication with the 2018 Winter issue as the final issue. However, the issue also revealed that Shueisha is launching a new magazine titled Jump SQ. RISE in April 2018, and hints that the launch will “raise the curtain on a new age of manga that surpasses the ordinary.”

The magazine also revealed that Riku Sanjo and Kôji Inada’s Beet the Vandel Buster manga, which ran in Jump SQ. Crown before the series went on hiatus in October 2016, will transfer to Jump SQ. RISE and resume in that magazine. However, the announcement did not specify if the manga will resume in the magazine’s inaugural issue.

Jump SQ. Crown launched in July 2015 as a successor to the Jump SQ. 19 magazine. Like its predecessor, Jump SQ. Crown was an offshoot of the main Jump Square magazine, and also published quarterly, with one issue every January, April, July, and October.
