Seven Seas Entertainment has announced that it has licensed Riyoko Ikeda’s one shot manga Claudine. The large-trim volume is scheduled to be released for the first time in North America on June 26, 2018.

The manga is described as:

Born as “Claudine…!” in a female-assigned body that doesn’t reflect the man inside, this heart-wrenching story follows Claudine…! through life, pain, and the love of several women. Master shoujo mangaka Riyoko Ikeda, considered part of the influential Year 24 Group, explores gender and sexuality in early 20th century France in this powerful tale about identity.

The manga serialized in Shueisha’s Margaret magazine. Ikeda is best known for her The Rose of Versailles manga, which launched in Shueisha’s Weekly Margaret magazine in 1972.
