My Hero Academia Manga Takes One Week Break Due to Author’s Sudden Illness

This year’s 43rd issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine didn’t publish a new chapter of Kōhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga as planned due to Horikoshi’s sudden illness. While Shueisha printed the issue with a notice that the manga would appear in the issue, the mistake was due to the magazine already being printed before corrections could be made. Horikoshi previously took a one week break in the magazine’s 28th issue in June 2017 due to illness.

Horikoshi launched My Hero Academia in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014. VIZ Media is publishing the manga in English.
