This year’s 34th issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine has announced that Hiromu Arakawa’s Silver Spoon manga will go back on hiatus in the 35th issue on July 26, 2017. The manga had just returned from a hiatus in the 32nd issue on July 5, 2017. The magazine has not yet announced when the series will resume.
The manga centers on Yūgo Hachiken, as well as the cast of characters that surround him when he decides to attend an agricultural high school in the countryside. Yūgo’s decision to attend an agricultural school is influenced in part by disagreements with his parents, but when he gets to school, he finds himself not used to the realities of a life of farming, agriculture, and animal husbandry. To keep up with his classmates, he finds that he needs to adapt, learning to respect the knowledge of everybody around him.
