This year’s 20th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has revealed that Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro will publish a new one-shot manga titled “Chingiri” in the combined 21st-22nd issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, which ships in Japan on April 24, 2017. The 19-page “new sensation martial arts gag” manga will have a color page. The manga will center on “a man who has mastered every type of martial arts.”
Shimabukuro recently published a different 29-page one-shot gag manga titled “Warai no Ōji Penpenpen” (Prince of Comedy Penpenpen) in the May 2017 issue of Shueisha’s Saikyō Jump magazine on April 1, 2017.
Mitsutoshi ended his Toriko manga in November 2016. The manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump for eight years since 2008. Shueisha published the manga’s 43rd and final compiled book volume on December 31, 2016. VIZ Media published new chapters of the manga digitally simultaneously with the Japanese release in its digital English version of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, and will publish the manga’s 38th volume in print on May 2, 2017.
