Manga Nominated for the 2017 Angoulême International Comics Festival’s Awards

The 44th annual Angoulême International Comics Festival has announced its nominees for Best Comic. Four manga are among the nominees: Minetarō Mochizuki’s Chiisakobee, Hiroya Oku’s Inuyashiki, Gengoroh Tagame’s My Brother’s Husband, and Taiyo Matsumoto’s Sunny manga.

The festival also revealed its nominees for Best Youth Comic, Best Heritage Comic, and Best Crime Comic. Angoulême nominated LunLun Yamamoto’s Hozunde! Papamokko and Kōhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga for Best Youth Comic, and nominated Kazuo Kamimura’s Rikon Club manga for Best Heritage Comic.

The Angoulême International Comics Festival will be taking place in France from January 26-29, 2017.
