Beyblade Burst Anime Is Premiering in Japan in April 2016

The February 2016 issue of Shogakukan’s Coro Coro Comics magazine has announced that the Beyblade Burst anime will premiere in April 2016.

The issue also detailed two characters from the anime: Bart Aoi, a hot-blooded kid who loves to attack and wields a Beyblade named Valkyrie; and Shū Kurenai, an elite Blader who is a genius but still puts in a lot of effort, and wields the Beyblade named Spriggan. The issue noted that the anime’s battle scenes will be rendered in 3D CG.

Katsuhito Akiyama is directing Beyblade Burst at OLM or Oriental Light and Magic with character designs by Toshiaki Ōhashi. Hideki Sonoda is in charge of the series scripts.
