FUNimation Entertainment announced at its Otakon 2015 panel that it has licensed the upcoming Project Itoh films: The Empire of Corpses, Genocidal Organ, and Harmony. The three films are all based on works by late novelist Project Itoh. FUNimation will release the films in 2016, but has not yet confirmed a theatrical release.

Each novel film adaptation will be from a different director and studio. In Japan, The Empire of Corpses will open in theaters on October 2, 2015, Genocidal Organ will open on November 13, 2015, and Harmony will open on December 4, 2015.

In addition, the company announced that it plans to debut Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie in theaters during Fall 2015, and The Boy and The Beast and the Psycho-Pass films in theaters in 2016.
