The website of the media trade paper Bunka Tsūshin reported earlier in July 2015 that Toei Animation managing director Hiroyuki Kinoshita passed away on July 3, 2015 due to a heart attack. He was 48 years old at the time of his passing.

Kinoshita joined Toei Animation in 2004. In addition to producing television anime for Toei Animation, he also served as CEO of Toei Animation Enterprises in Hong Kong, as well as COO of Toei Animation Europe in France and Toei Animation Incorporated in the United States.
