Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday has announced that Gosho Aoyama’s Detective Conan (Case Closed) manga will resume publication in this year’s 34th issue on July 22, 2015. The magazine said this is the end of the three month period of irregular serialization.

The manga has been on and off hiatus since Aoyama announced in March 2015 that he had gone to the hospital for surgery. He assured his fans that the surgery went as planned without incident, but noted that he would be staying in the hospital for a little while longer, until Summer 2015.

The series went on hiatus in the 19th issue on April 8, 2015. Aoyama then resumed the series on May 13, 2015 with Shonen Sunday‘s 24th issue, but put it on hiatus again after the 27th issue. VIZ Media is publishing the manga in English.
