Detective Conan Manga Is Taking a Break Until Early Summer 2015

This year’s 27th issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine is announcing that Gosho Aoyama’s Detective Conan (Case Closed) manga is going on a break with plans to resume in early Summer 2015.

Aoyama had announced in March 2015 that he had to put his serialization on an irregular schedule. He explained that he had gone to the hospital for an operation. Aoyama assured fans in March 2015 that the surgery went as planned without incident, but noted that he would be staying in the hospital for a little while longer, until Summer 2015.

The magazine had once before started publishing previous chapters of the series under the title Meitantei Conan Fukkoku Rensai Series when Aoyama originally revealed his hospitalization in March 2015.

Aoyama then resumed the series on May 13, 2015 with Shonen Sunday‘s 24th issue.
