Digital Manga Launches a Kickstarter Campaign to Print Osamu Tezuka’s Clockwork Apple Manga

Digital Manga has launched a Kickstarter campaign to localize and publish Osamu Tezuka’s Clockwork Apple (Tokei-Shikake no Ringo) anthology of eight short stories in English. The campaign has a US$13,500 goal, and will end on May 7, 2015 at 4:06 p.m. EDT. As of this writing, the campaign has raised US$8,613.

Digital Manga successfully funded a print edition of Tezuka’s Ludwig B manga in December 2014. Digital Manga also used Kickstarter to raise funds to reprint Tezuka’s Barbara, Swallowing the Earth, and Captain Ken manga. The English release of Barbara was nominated for an Eisner in 2013. Most recently, Digital Manga funded its release of Tezuka’s Alabaster manga through Kickstarter.
