Sporting Salt Manga Is Ending in Weekly Shonen Jump

Yuto Kubota is ending the Sporting Salt manga in the February 2, 2015 issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.

The story of the manga focuses on Hiroyuki Shioya, a high school student who is fanatic about sports medicine. After deciding he is destined to become the best sports medicine doctor in all of Japan, he latches on to athletes in trouble to help analyze their issues and better their performance.

Sporting Salt launched in Weekly Shonen Jump on September 22, 2014. It also debuted in VIZ Media’s Weekly Shonen Jump as part of the publication’s “Jump Start” initiative on the same date. Under this initiative, the English Weekly Shonen Jump runs the first three chapters of “almost every single” new series that debuts in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in Japan.
