Harmony Gold USA cancelled the Kickstarter campaign for Robotech Academy on August 2, 2014, which was six days before the deadline. The campaign had raised US$194,574 of its US$500,000 goal from 2,284 backers before it ended.
The company says it will “continue to explore its options with Robotech Academy” and further updates will be made on the project’s official website. In addition, the company also stated that some of the backer rewards may be made available as part of Robotech‘s 30th anniversary in 2015.
