Giovanni’s Island Wins the Jury Prize at the 2014 Annecy International Animation Film Festival

France’s annual Annecy International Animation Film Festival has announced the winners of its awards.

The Giovanni’s Island anime film won the Jury Distinction prize. This is the first Annecy prize won by a Japanese feature since 2011, when Colorful won at the festival.

Mirai Mizue’s “Wonder” anime short also won the CANAL+Creative Aid Award for a Short Film.
