Anime Expo 2014 has announced that anime screenplay writer Gen Urobuchi will be a guest at their next convention.

Urobuchi served as the head writer for the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime series, wrote the novel adaptation of Rei Hiroe’s Black Lagoon action manga, developed the plots for the Phantom -Phantom of Inferno- game and the Phantom – The Animation spin-off, and supervised the scripts for the Blassreiter anime. Fate/Zero, his novel prequel to Type-Moon’s Fate/stay night visual novel software, inspired an anime. He also wrote the Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet and Psycho-Pass anime.

Anime Expo will be taking place July 3-6, 2014 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.
