Fantagraphics Books has announced that its new stretch goal for the company’s Kickstarter campaign will be to increase its line of “literary and experimental manga translation.”

Fantagraphics’ stretch goal is US$250,000. As of this writing, the campaign has raised US$204,820. The campaign ends on December 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. EST.

Fantagraphics’ Kickstarter campaign launched on November 5, 2013 to raise money to fund the 39 graphic novels and books scheduled for release in Spring and Summer 2014. The lineup includes Volume 7 of Takako Shimura’s Wandering Son manga.

Fantagraphics cited recent financial hardships since the passing of its co-owner and co-publisher Kim Thompson in June 2013.
