Animation Director Hiroshi Ogawa Passes Away

Animation director Hiroshi Ogawa passed away on August 7, 2013 due to stomach cancer. He was 62 years old at the time of his passing.

Ogawa was born in Tokyo and graduated from Tokyo Desginer Gakuin College in 1976. During his career, Ogawa worked on such anime as Crayon Shin-chan, Nono-chan, Gatapishi, Dororonpa!, Lupin III, Maison Ikkoku, Grave of the Fireflies, and Arashi no Yoru ni. Since 2006, Ogawa taught animation as a professor at Kyoto Seika University.

Ogawa is survived by his wife, Mineko.
