Kodansha Comics announced at Anime Expo 2013 that it will begin speeding up its release of Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan manga series. Starting in August 2013, the company is planning to release one volume of Attack on Titan each month for the remainder of 2013.

The manga follows the life of humans after giants suddenly appear and take over the entire world. To keep out these invading Titans who eat humans for food, the humans erect huge walls — but at the cost of their freedom in the outside world.

Kodansha Comics will be releasing the series in both print and digital formats at the same time.
