Diamond Lists Top Market Shares & Graphic Novels for 2012

Diamond Comics Distributors has published its top publisher market shares and its top 500 graphic novels of 2012. The numbers are based on total sales of comics, graphic novels, and magazines to comic book specialty stores in 2012. The Diamond rankings may not reflect the overall sales rankings at all bookstores throughout North America.

By publisher, Dark Horse Comics came in at #5 with 4.81 percent of the market share. Viz Media came in at #9 with .93 percent of the market share.

No manga volumes ranked with the top 100. However, manga came in between #145 and #487 in the list. The list includes nine VIZ Media volumes, seven Kodansha volumes, two Dark Horse volumes, and two Yen Press volumes.
