The MangaNEXT Convention has announced the following guests for its upcoming convention: Makoto Tateno, Tomo Maeda, and Felipe Smith.

Tateno has created both boys’ love and non boys’ love titles; these include Yellow Hero Heel, Steal Moon, Blue Sheep Reverie, Angelic Runes, A Bloody Kiss Tonight, Happy Boys, Yellow 2, and Red Angel.

Maeda’s works include Black Sun, Silver Moon and Beyond My Touch.

Smith is one of the few foreigners who has created manga in Japan for Japanese readers. After winning second place in Tokyopop’s Rising Stars of Manga in 2004, he published three volumes of MBQ. In 2008, Smith launched Peepo Choo in Morning 2 (a monthly magazine published by Kodansha in Japan).

MangaNEXT is taking place February 24-26, 2012 at the Sheraton Meadowland Hotel & Conference Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
