VIZ Media’s Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha digital manga magazine has launched. The first issue is available now through VizManga.com, and it will also be part of an upcoming update to the VIZ Manga app for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. Each new digital edition of Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha includes the latest chapters of the manga being featured in the magazine two weeks after they debut in Japan’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
The first volume of Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha features the following manga titles:
- Bakuman. Chapter 162
- Bleach Chapter 476
- Naruto Chapter 569
- Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan Chapter 185
- One Piece Chapter 652
- Toriko Chapter 171
In addition, the first volume also includes the first part of an exclusive interview with Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto.
And to continue the celebration of the launch of Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha, VIZ has joined with Konami for a special offer for subscribers. Subscribers who sign up for an annual membership to Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha will receive highly collectable Yu-Gi-Oh! game cards four times a year. Annual memberships are available for US$25.99. Single issues of Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha can be read for four weeks for only US$0.99. Subscribers will also receive an annual collector’s yearbook and access to exclusive content (which includes creator interviews and videos).
